The 20-year-old Miguel Cabrera burst into the National League in the summer of 2003 and his bat helped the Marlins achieve their first division title in franchise history. As good as the rookie was in the regular season, it was in the postseason that the kid proved he was a star. This offered Louisville Slugger C243 model bat was used by Miguel Cabrera during the 2003 season. This bat displays heavy game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel area and Cabrera’s number “20” is hand written in silver marker on the knob. Cabrera has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “2004 ROOKIE GAME USED”. This bat comes with a LOA from Mears for the game use, who have graded this bat a near perfect A9.5. There is also a MLB Authenticated hologram (JD459157) for Cabrera’s autograph and inscription.
