As the saying goes, “practice makes perfect”, and this 2003 BP-used bat demonstrates Mike Piazza’s dedication to his craft. His batting cage fine-tuning paid off: in 68 games the NewYork Mets star batted .286 with 11 home runs.

Piazza's Rawlings 609B model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are visible on the barrel and there is cleat imprints on the back barrel. Blue bat rack paint streaks are in evidence and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The model number “609B”, order number “182” and year “03” are stamped into the knob with the “weight “33” and “Piazza” hand written in black ink. Piazza’s number “31” is written in black marker on both ends and the Hall of Famer has signed the bat’s barrel in black marker. The bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12853) for the game use and a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AB12598) for the signature.
