Offered here is the first base bag from 2003 ALCS between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. The underside of this base has a raised “2003” on one of the corners and handwritten in black marker is “1st POLE” with an up arrow. The Yankees prevailed in this series in classic seven games that ended on an 11th-inning walk-off home run by Aaron Boone. The Yankees would go on to lose the World Series in six games to the Florida Marlins. This base is almost completely covered in light brown infield dirt from being manned by Kevin Millar and Nick Johnson for most of the series and features the ALCS 2003 logo on two opposite sides and the MLB logo on the other opposite sides.
