Rafael Palmeiro got closer to the exclusive 500 Home Run Club when he belted his 492nd career home run while wearing this offered Texas Rangers home white jersey during the April 8th, 2003 game against Barry Zito and the Oakland A’s at The Ballpark in Arlington. Palmeiro’s home run was the second of the 2003 season and he accounted for the only run of the game for the Rangers in their 2-1 loss.

This size 50 button-down white jersey has “RANGERS” and Palmeiro’s number “25” sewn on the chest in blue, red and black tackle twill. “PALMEIRO” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue and red tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. Palmeiro’s “23” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, red, and black tackle twill. A flag of Texas patch is sewn on the left sleeve. Blue piping accents each sleeve. An MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar of this jersey. A Majestic tag with attached size “50” and “set 3 2003” flags are sewn on the front left tail. This jersey displays moderate game use with some dirt stains present. Palmeiro has signed this jersey on the back below the numbers in blue marker and inscribed “H.R. 492 4/08/03 Barry Zito”. This jersey comes with a LOA signed by Rafael Palmeiro stating that he wore this jersey on April 8th, 2003 for his 492nd career home run. Also, there is a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for Palmeiro’s signature on the jersey and a COA from Beckett Authentication (H39796) for Palmeiro’s signature on his LOA.
