Offered is a game-used Wilson Y model outfielder’s glove used by Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero from the 2003 Major League Baseball season. The Wilson A2000 professional model glove is black tanned steer hide bound with black tanned rawhide laces. Guerrero’s glove features a rare “Y” web with a conventional back and an adjustable foam padded wrist strap. The manufacturer’s labels include a Wilson wrist label, embroidered logos on the back of the web and thumb and embroidered “A2000” on the back of the index finger. A red, white and blue MLB logo is above the year code “AFW” at the base of the pinky finger. Embroidered in blue on the top of the thumb is “Guerrero #27”.
Guerrero was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018. The Dominican right fielder and designated hitter spent 16 seasons in the majors, playing for the Montreal Expos (1996–2003), Anaheim Angels / Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2004–2009), Texas Rangers (2010), and Baltimore Orioles (2011). A nine-time All-Star, Guerrero was widely recognized for his impressive offensive production — regularly hitting for power and average — as well as his defensive range and strong throwing arm. In 2004, he was voted the American League Most Valuable Player. Guerrero helped lead the Angels to five AL West championships between 2004 and 2009. This glove comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00507).
