LeBron James wore this pair of white and navy Nike Zoom LeBron II sneakers on November 10th, 2004 against the Phoenix Suns in the fifth game of the 2004-05 NBA season. James scored a game-high 38 points, with 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the Cavaliers 114-109 win at Gund Arena in Cleveland. James set the NBA on fire in his second season, averaging an eye-popping 27.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game despite playing the first half of the season under the legal drinking age. James made his first NBA All-Star team in 2005 and was selected as a member of the All-NBA Second Team at the end of the year.

These offered shoes, originally sourced from an Akron charity event hosted by James, are size 16 and feature James’ personal logo applied to the lower outside heel and Velcro lace strap. “NIKE” is applied to the left shoe’s lace strap in blue lettering, and the Nike swoosh is applied to the right shoe’s lace strap. On the top of the toes is a raised Nike swoosh in burgundy on the white background. Please note that the burgundy swoosh may appear a darker color from different angles. James has signed the left shoe in black marker, adding his number “23” below his signature. James also signed the right shoe, but as “King James”. This lot is accompanied by an issue of the Akron Beacon Journal from June 25th, 2005 featuring coverage of James’ charitable event. Each shoe comes with a LOA from JSA (Left: X28880, Right: Z97410) for the signature and a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200620G1) with an apparent photo match to the November 10th, 2004 game at Gund Arena in Cleveland. Please note that the straps that cover the laces are removable and LeBron did not have the straps on these sneakers on the game in which Sports Investors Authentication photo matched these shoes.
