A direct photo-match shows that Albert Pujols used this bat during the May 16, 2004 game against the Florida Marlins. Though the Cardinals lost 3-2, Pujols contributed a double in four times at bat. The photo-matched Louisville Slugger I13L model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are visible on the barrel along with blue ink transfers and cleat imprints. Red bat rack paint streaks and the impression of a weighted batting donut are also present. A light coat of pine tar is on the handle. Pujols’ number “5,” “Game,” length “4,” and weight “1 ½” are written on the knob in black marker. In addition, his number “5” also appears on the barrel end in black marker. The Cardinals slugger has signed the barrel in silver marker, completing this photo-matched gamer. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13442) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10. Additionally, there is a LOA from JSA (Z67436) for the signature.
