The 2004 Boston Red Sox – after an 86-year wait – broke the dreaded “Curse of the Bambino” and they did it in dramatic and historic fashion! Boston came back from an 0-3 deficit in the American League Championship Series to defeat their bitter rivals the New York Yankees in seven games. What followed was a 4-0 sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series to give the Red Sox their first World Series title since 1918. David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez formed a deadly 1-2 punch, as Ortiz hit .301 with 41 home runs and 139 RBIs, while Ramirez added 43 homers and knocked in 130 runs while batting .308. Curt Schilling led the pitching staff with a record of 21-6.

Offered here is a 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series Champions ring presented to pitcher Reynaldo Garcia, who spent the entire season of 2004 on the disabled list. This Jostens-manufactured beauty is made up of impressive 18K gold and features the team’s “B” logo - made up of rubies – which is set on a baseball field-shaped design comprised of diamonds. A large dark blue stone serves as the face’s backdrop. “WORLD CHAMPIONS” appears around the center design with additional diamonds appearing all around the outer perimeter.  One shank features the World Series trophy inside an image of Fenway Park. “GARCIA” is above and the number “53” and “4-0 SWEEP” is down below. An enamel-filled image of the team’s logo highlights the opposite shank, with “GREATEST COMEBACK IN HISTORY 2004” at the top of it and “8 STRAIGHT” at the bottom. Engraved inside the band is “86 YEARS  10-27-04” along with the JOSTENS 18K mark. The band shows some noticeable wear around it.  This ring is an approximate size 13 and weighs approximately 79.0 grams. This ring is accompanied by an LOA from Reynaldo Garcia.
