Auburn Tigers running back Carnell “Cadillac” Williams wore this navy Auburn home jersey in the third-ranked Tigers 24-6 win over number eight Georgia at Jordan-Hare Stadium on November 13th, 2004 in The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. College GameDay came to Auburn for the grand event, with the Tigers dual-threat backfield of Williams and Ronnie Brown delivering the Alabamans a quality win. Williams rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing a 29-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Mix. “Cadillac” took a pitch from quarterback Jason Campbell to the right sideline before pulling up and throwing a dart to Mix over a befuddled Georgia defense as the Tigers jumped out to a 14-0 second quarter lead. Williams rushed for 1,165 yards and 12 touchdowns as Auburn finished the season undefeated and ranked number two in the final Associated Press poll after dispatching Virginia Tech 16-13 in the Sugar Bowl.
This offered Auburn home jersey is navy, with Williams’ number “24” printed on the chest, back, and shoulders in white. “C. WILLIAMS” is printed across the back shoulders in white over a matching navy nameplate. A Russell Athletic logo is located on the chest. Williams has signed this jersey on the front “4” digit as “Carnell ‘Cadillac’ Williams”. Inscribed on the “2” is “19 for 101 TD”, “1 for 29 TD”, and “11-13-04 / Aub 24 UGA 6” in blue marker. The jersey has been photo matched to the November 11th game by RGU, who have provided a LOA. There is also a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A25420) that covers Williams’ signature.
