2004’s NBA Rookie of the Year Lebron James was the first player asked
to join Team USA when it was assembled for the Athens Olympic Games. The
19 year-old James was soon joined on the “Dream Team” by NBA greats
Allen Iverson, and Lamar Odom but in the end were unable to defend their
Gold from the 2000 Games, settling for the Bronze. This is Lebron James’
Team USA jersey from 2004. The home white jersey has the bold red and
white tackle twill “USA” on the front with James’ number “5” below in
the same colors. The bottom right front tail carries the Reebok “USA
BASKETBALL” tagging with additional size “50”, “2004” and “+2 LENGTH”
tags. Top right shoulder strap has the “USA BASKETBALL” patch and the
left has the Reebok logo patch. Back features “JAMES” and his number in
blue and red tackle twill. A basketball/star logo is embroidered above
his name and the sides have an attractive blue and red striped design.
The jersey shows minimal game use with a brown stain to the left of his
name on the back. A really nice looking part of 2004 edition of the
“Dream Team”. The jersey has been graded and A5 by MEARS and their
letter of authenticity is included with this Olympic jersey.
