Boston Red Sox outfielder Manny Ramirez wore this white button-down home jersey during the 2004 season. The iconoclastic, dreadlocked super star helped the Red Sox break their 86 season World Series drought in 2004 by overcoming a 3-0 deficit in the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees. Ramirez hit an American League-leading 43 home runs in 2004 while contributing 130 RBI and a .308 batting average.
This white home Russell Athletic jersey was worn by Ramirez in 2004. “RED SOX” is sewn across the chest in Tuscan font with red-on-navy tackle twill. The back of the jersey has “24” sewn on in McAuliffe style number font in red-on-navy tackle twill. A MLB logo is sewn on the upper back neck. Red piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. A Russell Athletic logo is embroidered in navy and red on the left sleeve and the Russell Athletic Authentic Collection tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. A size “54 100% Polyester” flag is attached to the Russell tag and a “2004” tag is sewn on below. This jersey shows heavy game use and comes with a LOA from MEARS (316118), who have graded this jersey an A5.
