This ball was used during Randy Johnson’s perfect game on May 18th, 2004. Johnson, at the age of 40, became the oldest pitcher to throw a perfect game. Johnson led the Diamondbacks to a 2-0 victory against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field, striking out 13 Braves batters along the way. Johnson, the winner of 303 Major League games, was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015. This Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball features Johnson’s signature on the sweet spot in blue pen. On the south panel, Johnson has inscribed “P.G. Used 5/18/04”. This ball shows good evidence of use. This item has been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
