Roger Clemens joined the Houston Astros for the 2004 season. The native of Katy, Texas made a homecoming and like his previous stops in Boston, Toronto and New York, made an immediate impact for the Astros. Clemens’ 18-4 record with a 2.98 ERA, earned the big righty the National League Cy Young Award, his seventh and final time he won the premier pitching award.

Offered is the Majestic size 52 home pinstriped Houston Astros button-down jersey that was worn by Clemens during his Cy Young 2004 season. This jersey features “Astros” and a paraph sewn on in black, gold, red and gray chenille stitching. Clemens’ number “22” is sewn on the center left chest in red tackle twill. The Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with a “52” flag attached. The back of the jersey has “CLEMENS” and “22” sewn on in black, gold and red tackle twill and the MLB logo patch is on the upper back collar in red, white and navy blue. The left sleeve has a gold, black and red Astros logo and Texas state patch above the black embroidered Majestic logo, while the right sleeve has the “2004 All-Star Game” patch sewn on. Clemens signed his name on the right center chest in black marker and inscribed above his name “Rocket”. This jersey displays light use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, along with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for his signature and inscription.
