Former Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton wore this black Rockies helmet during the 2004 season. Helton, in his seventh season in 2004, hit 32 home runs, drove in 96, while batting a lofty .347. This all-black Rockies helmet is a size 7 3/8 and was manufactured by American Baseball Cap Company (ABC). The Rockies “CR” logo sticker is affixed to the front in in purple and silver, while “HELTON” is printed in white on a black sticker and affixed to the front of the brim. The back of the helmet has the MLB logo in Rockies’ colors and Helton’s number “17”. The “1” is still adhered to the back, while the “7” is no longer on the helmet, but remnants of that number still appear. The interior of the helmet has a brown leather head band pad and the top pad, back bad and right ear flap pads are still intact. This helmet displays heavy game use with numerous abrasions and it comes with a LOA from the Colorado Rockies, who state that this helmet was worn by Helton.
