After spending his first eight seasons with the Chicago White Sox, slugger Magglio Ordóñez joined the Detroit Tigers to start the 2005 season. In the first four seasons of 2005-2008, where this offered Louisville Slugger C217 model bat dates to, Ordóñez combined for 81 home runs, 392 RBI and a robust .323 average. Ordóñez used this bat during the 2005-2008 seasons and this stick displays heavy game use. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and slight checking or grain swelling on the barrel from repeated ball contact. There his a light coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel and a heaving coating of Mota Stick on the lower handle covering the overlapping tape. Ordóñez’s number “30” is hand written in black marker on the knob and top barrel, along with the Tigers’ weight code. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15270) for the game use. Please note that the consignor did not want to purchase the grading on this bat. However, we can inform all potential bidders that this bat has been pre-certified as a GU 10 by PSA/DNA and if the winning bidder chooses to have this bat graded, it will be guaranteed to receive a GU 10 grade.
