< p class=" MsoNormal" style=" text-indent: .5in;"> By 2005, there were rumblings about whether Albert Pujols was the greatest St. Louis Cardinal since Stan Musial. The 2005 season saw Pujols put any doubts to rest as Pujols would bat .330 with 195 hits, 41 home runs, and 117 RBIs. Pujols would record his 200th home run and his fifth-consecutive season of 100 RBIs or more, joining DiMaggio, Williams, and Al Simmons as the only players with 100 RBIs in their first five seasons. Pujols would win the National League MVP that season as the Cardinals lost to the Houston Astros in the NLCS. < p class=" MsoNormal" style=" text-indent: .5in;"> Presented here is a 2005 game used Nike cleat worn, signed, and inscribed by former St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols. The cleat features a red and white color way and the iconic Nike “Swoosh” logo on the instep and outstep of the cleat. The number “5” appears in red on the back heel. Twelve rubber cleats coupled with eleven smaller rubber cleats attached to a hard plastic sole imprinted with the Nike “Swoosh” logo appear on the sole. Pujols signed on the white portion of the outstep of the cleat with a black marker. The signature is bold and clear. The cleat displays excellent evidence of game use and contains dirt on the soles and plastic cleats, wear on the toe box, upper, and outstep, and faint stains from sweat. The game used and signed cleat worn by Albert Pujols during the 2005 season and signed by the star with a black marker come with an LOA from J.T. Sports (1435) for game use and an LOA from Beckett Authentication (A09644) for the signature.
