Presented is a game-used Alex Rodriguez New York Yankees batting practice jersey, which he has signed and inscribed. The navy blue button-front jersey has the white, interlocking “NY” logo sewn on the upper front left chest in white tackle twill, and Rodriguez’s number “13” is sewn on the back below a sewn-on red, white and blue MLB logo patch. Rodriguez has signed his name on the number “1” in black marker, while on the number “3” he has signed “2005” across the top bar, “Game Used” across the middle, and “AL MVP” across the bottom bar, all in black marker.

     Rodriguez had a memorable season in 2005, batting .321, leading the American League with 124 runs and 48 homers while driving in 130 runs. He became the first Yankee to win the AL home run title since Reggie Jackson hit 41 in 1980. He also became one of only two players in Major League history to compile at least 35 home runs, 100 runs and 100 RBIs in eight consecutive seasons (Jimmie Foxx accomplished the feat in nine straight seasons from 1932 to 1940).
