CC Sabathia is a six-time All-Star, winning the Cy Young Award with Cleveland in 2007 before being traded mid-season to the Milwaukee Brewers in 2008 and eventually signing as a free agent with the New York Yankees in 2009, and helping lead them to a World Series title that year.
Sabathia wore this Majestic size 54 home Cleveland Indians jersey during the 2005 season in Cleveland where he finished with a 15-10 record. This button-down jersey features “Indians” sewn on across the chest in red, silver and navy blue tackle twill with a paraph. Navy blue piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The sleeve ends have a navy blue/gray/navy blue piping pattern. The Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with “54” and “2005” flags. The back of this jersey has “SABATHIA” sewn on in red, silver and navy blue tackle twill on a matching white nameplate and his number “52” is sewn on in the same red, silver and navy blue tackle twill pattern. The left sleeve has the “Chief Wahoo” patch and the MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper back neck in navy blue, white and red. This jersey displays moderate use and comes with a notarized letter of provenance from Howard Perch, who was a batting practice pitcher for both the Chicago White Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates and acquired this jersey through his connections during his employment in baseball. This jersey also comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
