Boston Red Sox pitcher and playoff hero Curt Schilling wore this jersey during the 2005 MLB season, his 18th season in the Major Leagues. Schilling, who struck out 300 or more batters in a season three times, finished 8-8 in 2005, splitting time between the bullpen and the starting rotation. In addition to his eight wins, Schilling picked up a career-high nine saves as the Red Sox finished in second place in the American League East.
This white button-down jersey features “RED SOX” sewn across the chest in red and blue tackle twill. Schilling’s number “38” is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and blue tackle twill below a MLB logo patch. Red piping runs down the chest of the jersey. Majestic and “38 52 05” tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. Schilling signed the back of the jersey in blue marker above the numbers. This jersey, which shows light wear, comes with a LOA from JSA (Y39599) for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
