Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Dexter McCleon wore this white Chiefs road jersey during the 2005 NFL season, his final with the Chiefs and penultimate in the NFL. McCleon appeared primarily as a backup, nevertheless starting five contests and recording two interceptions while adding seven deflected passes. The former Clemson Tiger, a Super Bowl champion with the St. Louis Rams in 1999, retired after the 2006 season with 31 career interceptions. This white road jersey has McCleon’s number “22” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in red and yellow tackle twill. “McCLEON” is sewn on the back shoulders in red and yellow tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. Red Reebok logo patches are sewn on each sleeve, and a NFL Equipment logo patch is sewn on the collar. An “05-46” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. This jersey shows light to moderate wear, primarily in the puckering of the uniform numbers, and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
