Before Dustin Pedroia was the American League Rookie of the Year or MVP, he was a young, undersized second baseman toiling in the Boston Red Sox farm system. This jersey is from his 2005 season, which he spent with the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Boston Red Sox AAA affiliate. He split 2005 playing with the AA Portland Sea Dogs for 66 games and the PawSox for 51. Pedroia showed flashes of his future MVP form that season, finishing with a .293 batting average and 13 home runs.
This gray jersey features “PAWTUCKET” sewn across the front in red-on-navy tackle twill. A “7” is sewn on the back in red-on-navy tackle twill and a circular “PawSox” logo is sewn on the right sleeve above a Russell “R”. A MiLB logo is sewn on the outside back collar. Red piping runs around the sleeve openings and a Russell size “48” tag with a “100% Polyester” flag is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey shows light to moderate signs of game use and this jersey comes with a LOA from Pawtucket Red Sox president Mike Tamburro authenticating this jersey’s use by Pedroia.
