Before Dustin Pedroia was the AL Rookie of the Year or MVP, the Arizona State product was toiling in the Boston Red Sox farm system. This jersey is from the 2005 season, which he mostly spent with the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Boston Red Sox AAA affiliate. He split 2005 playing with the AA Portland Sea Dogs for 66 games and the Paw-Sox for 51. Pedroia showed flashes of his future MVP form that season, finishing with a .293 batting average and 13 home runs.
This navy blue size 48 Russell Athletic button-down jersey has “PawSox” sewn across the front in red-on-white tackle twill with Pedroia’s number “7” sewn on the center left chest in Red Sox numbering. Pedroia’s number “7” is sewn on in red-on-white tackle twill on the back in Red Sox numbering and a circular “PawSox” logo is sewn on the right sleeve above the white Russell Athletic patch. Each sleeve has red piping an inch off the ends and the MiLB logo is sewn on the outside back collar. A Russell Athletic size “48” tag is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey comes with a LOA from Pawtucket Red Sox president Mike Tamburro authenticating this jersey’s use by Pedroia in 2005 while a member of the PawSox.
