The Hall of Fame slugger Jim Thome wore this pinstriped Philadelphia Phillies home jersey. Thome played three seasons in Philadelphia, joining the Phillies in 2003 before a November 2005 trade sent Thome to the Chicago White Sox. Thome led the Majors with 47 home runs in 2003, adding 131 RBI and 111 runs scored. Thome was an All-Star in 2004, putting up a Triple Crown slash line of .274/42/105. Thome retired after the 2012 season with 612 career homers. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018 on his first ballot.

This button-down Phillies home jersey was worn by Thome during the 2005 season, his final season in Philadelphia. This jersey has “PHILLIES” sewn across the chest in red and blue chenille stitching over white tackle twill. “THOME” and his number “25” are sewn on the back of the jersey in red and white tackle twill, while a second “25” is sewn on the left sleeve in the same fashion above a red Majestic logo. The absence of patches on the left sleeve dates this jersey to the 2005 season as the Phillies had additional patches on the left sleeves of their jersey is 2003 and 2004. A MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Majestic tag with an attached size “52” flag is sewn on the front left tail. Thome has signed the “5” digit on the back of this jersey in black marker. The jersey comes with a LOA from JSA (BB12002) and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
