Roger Clemens is a seven-time Cy Young pitcher and two-time World Series Champion. He was the American League MVP in 1986 with Boston. The 24-year veteran played three seasons in Houston. This brick button down jersey has “Houston” embroidered in tan, brick and black across the front and Clemens’ number “22” in black-on-brick-on-tan tackle twill on the left front and tan-on-brick-on-black tackle twill on the back. It says “CLEMENS” in tan-on-brick-on-black tackle twill on the nameplate on the back of the jersey. The left sleeve features the Astros’ Texas-shaped logo with the Astros’ star above a stitched Majestic logo. There is a “Majestic Authentic Collection” tag on the front tail with a “52” tag to indicate the size. The MLB logo on the back of the neck is stitched in black and red. The hat is black and features the Astros’ star logo on the front and the MLB logo on the back. There is a “New Era” manufacturer’s tag inside the sweatband along with a tag with the MLB logo and “Genuine Merchandise” and a tag that says “LOW PROFILE 58.7 CM” and “7 3/8” to indicate the style and size of the hat. Clemens’ number “22” is handwritten inside the crown in black Sharpie. In the underside of the brim, in the center, there is brown marking from Clemens touching that area repeatedly. The jersey and hat exhibit evidence of light game use and appears to be all original. The jersey and hat come with an LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert.
