Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer wore this black, orange, and white Bengals home jersey during the 2006 NFL season. Palmer, in his third NFL season, started all 16 games and passed for 4,035 yards. The 2002 Heisman Trophy winner added 28 touchdown passes as the Bengals finished the season with a .500 record. Palmer not only made the Pro Bowl in 2006, but he won the Pro Bowl MVP Award after tossing a 72-yard TD pass to Reggie Wayne.
This jersey, tagged for the 2005 season but used in 2006 according to noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, has Palmer’s number “9” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white and orange tackle twill. “PALMER” is sewn across the back shoulders in white and orange tackle twill sewn on a matching black nameplate. A Bengals logo is sewn on the chest, and a NFL patch is sewn on the collar. An “05-48 S” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. Team alterations are present under each armpit. The sleeves of this jersey bear the Bengals distinctive tiger stripe pattern, and the sides of the jersey feature a white strip. Palmer has signed the “9” on the back of the jersey in black marker. This jersey shows light to moderate wear. It is accompanied by a LOA from Dave Miedema for game use and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
