2006 was a typical stellar season for future Hall of Famer Derek Jeter. The All-Star shortstop sported a high .343 batting average with 14 home runs and 97 RBI and took home Gold Glove and Silver Slugger honors while narrowly finishing second in the American League MVP vote to Justin Morneau. Jeter and the Yankees also finished with a 97-65 record, winning the American League East Division title.

This offered all-black Louisville Slugger P72 model bat was used by Jeter during the 2006 season. This bat displays moderate use and is un-cracked. There ball marks, stitch impressions and some checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. There are also cleat imprints and bat rack streaks on the barrel and the handle has a healthy coating of Mota Stick. Jeter signed his name in bold contrasting silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “2006 Game Used”. This is a truly outstanding Derek Jeter gamer signed by “The Captain” himself and this bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15212) and has been graded a solid GU 8. There is also a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A87198) for his signature.
