Despite stumbling their way in losing to St. Louis in the World Series, this was yet another successful campaign for Detroit. This is a sterling silver ring, not the same type as issued to players or even high levels executives. The top of the ring features a Detroit “D” symbol in blue stone, surrounded by “AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS” occupying most of the top’s perimeter. One shank shows “DETROIT” at the top edge with the Detroit “D” below, and the other bears “2006” and a rendering of the A.L. Championship trophy. An impressive size 11.5 and engraved “INTERGOLD 925” inside indicating the percentage of silver and stamped with “NINE FULL INNINGS”. Overall EX/MT appearance owing to evidence of light to moderate wear throughout.
