University of Miami tight end and current 12-year NFL veteran Greg Olsen wore this orange Miami Hurricanes alternate jersey in The U’s 27-7 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels at the Orange Bowl on October 7th, 2006. Olsen led all players in receiving with eight catches for 95 yards as the indomitable Miami defense held UNC quarterback Cameron Sexton to a miserable 9-28 passing day with two interceptions. Olsen, in his junior and final season at Miami, finished the year with 40 catches for 489 yards before being selected with the 31st overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.
This offered Miami home alternate jersey is orange, with green and white accents. Olsen’s number “82” is sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white and green tackle twill. “OLSEN” is sewn across the back shoulders in white twill over a matching orange nameplate.
