Former Major League manager Jim Leyland won 1,769 games in 22 seasons as manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Florida Marlins, Colorado Rockies and Detroit Tigers. Leyland spent his first 11 of those seasons in Pittsburgh, where he was Manager of the Year in 1990 and 1992, leading the Pirates to three consecutive National League East titles. Leyland also was Manager of the Year for the Detroit Tigers in 2006.

     Leyland’s first season as manager saw the venerable manager lead his team to the American League pennant and an appearance in the 2006 World Series. Leyland wore this Majestic button-down size 44 road gray Detroit Tigers jersey during the 2006 World Series road games in St. Louis. “Detroit” is sewn across the front of this jersey in navy, white and orange tackle twill. Leyland’s number “10” appears below that and navy piping runs around the collar and down the front. The special 2006 World Series patch is sewn to the left sleeve and Majestic label is stitched to the lower right front tail with a white team strip tag that reads “10 44 06 359”. The back of the jersey has “LEYLAND” and his number “10” sewn on in navy blue, orange and white tackle twill. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper back neck in navy blue, white and orange. The Majestic logo is embroidered in navy blue on the left sleeve. On the number “1” on the back of the jersey in silver marker, Leyland signed his name and inscribed “Game Used”. On the “0”, Leyland inscribed “World Series 2006”. This jersey shows light use and comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B54291), a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB297385) and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
