Presented here is an Allan H. Selig Official Major League baseball used during the Houston Astros August 5th, 2006 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Astros won this game, which took place at Chase Field, by a score of 9-3. Roger Clemens was the winning pitcher, throwing seven innings of three-run ball to earn the 344th victory of his career. He pitched this baseball in the bottom of the second inning of the August 5th game. Additionally, in this game Craig Biggio picked up the 2,900th hit of his career on a first inning single.
Clemens signed the sweet spot of this ball in black pen. He added the inscriptions “Hou 9 Arz 3” and “Win 344” to his signature. This baseball comes with a COA from JSA (S21461) for the signature and a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB 000859) for use during the August 5th game.
