Since 1997, Major League Baseball has honored Jackie Robinson on April 15th which was the day in 1947 when he made his historic debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers to usher in a new era in baseball. All-time home run king Barry Bonds, played in his final “Jackie Robinson Day” on April 16th, 2007 at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.

Bonds wore this offered Giants batting helmet during this game where he went 1-for-3 in the Giants 8-0 win. The Rawlings size 7 3/8 helmet is the traditional all-black model with the orange interlocking “SF” logo sticker affixed to the front. A special “42 JACKIE ROBINSON” logo decal has been affixed above the right ear flap, commemorating the special event. The back of the helmet has “BONDS” in white on a black sticker, which is above the MLB logo decal in Giants’ colors. This helmet has a right ear guard and al of the interior padding is still intact. Bonds has signed his name in bold silver marker on the top of the brim. This helmet comes with a signed LOA from Barry Bonds for the use and his signature. Additionally, there is an MLB Authenticated hologram (BB508229). Please note that MLB classifies this helmet as Team Issued a common designation from items collected more than 24 hours after an event. The date of MLB authentication is April 18th.
