After passing Hank Aaron on the all-time home runs list during the August 7th, 2007 game against the Washington Nationals, Bonds continued to add to his new record when he hit this offered Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball for a home run during the August 18th game at Florida. Bonds took Marlins’ pitcher Rick van den Hurk in the top of the fifth inning at Dolphin Stadium. This was Barry Bonds’ 760th career home run.

According to the Letter of Provenance that accompanies this home run ball, Bonds’ home run traveled to right field – where he hit his home run and landed a few rows in front of the lucky recipient Edwin Garcia. After it ricocheted towards Garcia, he went to the ground to pick it up. He was then escorted by Miami-Dade police to a stadium board room, where he showed the ball and told his story to officials from the Marlins and MLB.

This ball displays excellent game use with a dirt abrasion on one of the side panels and other markings. The “Official Alan H. Selig baseball stamp is still clear, along the other stampings. This baseball comes with an MLB Authentiated hologram (BB582092) and a letter of provenance from Edwin Garcia, detailing how he obtained this baseball. Additionally, there is a printed ticket stub from the August 18th, 2007 game.
