Barry Bonds entered the 2007 with 734 home runs as he began to close in on then-all-time home run king Hank Aaron, who was at 755. Bonds got off to a quick start in the 2007 season, by hitting his 735th career home run during the April 4th game. Presented here is one of the bats used by Bonds during the April 4th, 2007 game. While this is not the bat used by Bonds to hit career home run 735, this bat does display excellent game use and has been photo matched to the April 4th game by Resolution Photomatching. This un-cracked SSK Professional Edge model bat has ball marks and white leather marks present on the barrel. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern up to the lower barrel and covering the knob to enhance the grip. The tape on the handle displays wear and dirt marks and Bonds has signed this bat in silver marker on the barrel completing this final season gamer. This bat comes with a COA from Barry Bonds (AP007177) authenticating the game use and signature and a LOA from Resolution Phototmatching (426866), who have photo matched this bat to the April 4th, 2007 game.
