2007 was a year of milestones for Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz. Most significantly, perhaps, was on August 19th, when he set the Braves strikeout record by striking out Mark Reynolds of the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was his 2,913th strikeout, passing Phil Niekro on the club's all-time list. He struck out a season high of 12 in that game. Offered here we have the red Majestic Atlanta Braves jersey worn by Smoltz during that record-breaking game. The jersey shows light use and displays all proper tagging, including the Burdette Sain #33 memorial patch that was worn by the Braves during the 2007 season. Authenticated by MLB with their hologram affixed. The jersey has also been matched to Getty images from that game!
