Alex Rodriguez carried the Yankees to an 89-win season in 2008, the final season at Yankee Stadium, hitting .302 with 35 homers, 103 RBI, and 104 runs in addition to a team-leading 6.8 bWAR. Rodriguez retired near the end of the 2016 season, ending his Hall of Fame-caliber career with over 3,000 hits, 696 home runs, and 2,086 RBI.
Rodriguez wore this size 48 road gray New York Yankees jersey during the 2008 season. This gray Majestic button-down jersey features “NEW YORK” sewn on in navy and white tackle twill across the chest. The Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with three flags that read “2008”, “+1” body” and “48”. AROD’s number “13” is sewn on the back in navy and white tackle twill and the MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper back neck. The right sleeve has the “2008 ALL-STAR GAME” patch, while the left sleeve has the “1923-2008 YANKEE STADIUM” patch and a memorial black armband in memory of former Yankee player and broadcaster Bobby Murcer. Each sleeve is capped with a ribbed material navy/white/navy pattern. A great AROD jersey with multiple patches that displays moderate use and it comes with a LOA from Yankees-Steiner (111332) for the game use, authenticating that this jersey was used by Rodriguez during the 2008 season.
