On April 23rd, 2008 Dustin Pedroia busted this bat in two pieces batting against the Los Angeles Angels. Pedroia went on to finish the year as the AL’s Most Valuable Player, the first time a Red Sox earned that honor since 1995. The Louisville Slugger S318 model bat shows outstanding use. The bat has been broken in two pieces and has been professionally restored. Many ball marks with stitch impressions and ball scuffs are found on the barrel. There are cleat imprints visible and the indentation of a weighted batting donut. Pedroia has signed the barrel in silver pen adding “08 AL MVP Gamer”. A heavy coat of Mota Stick is on the handle. The bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (H53283) and MLB Authenticated holograms (BB952415 & BB952416) for the game use and Steiner COA for the signature.
