The 2008 Florida Gators were an extremely balanced team on both sides of the ball, ranking fourth-best in the nation in both points scored and points allowed. The result was a ridiculous margin over their opponents, as the Gators outscored their foes by an average score of 43.6 to 12.9 per game. Tim Tebow threw for 2,746 yards and 30 touchdowns (against just four interceptions), while also rushing for 673 yards and 12 TDs. Percy Harvin also provided plenty of offense, with 660 rushing yards (with 10 TDs) and another 644 receiving yards (and seven TDs). With a 24-14 victory over Oklahoma, the Gators claimed the BCS Championship.
Presented here is a 2008 Florida Gators NCAA Football BCS Championship ring that was presented in 2009, featuring a large orange football-shaped stone that displays the number 1 in blue. Around the stone’s bezel setting is an array of CZs. “NATIONAL CHAMPIONS” reads in relief lettering. One shank features the BCS National Championship Game logo, with the name “DOE” above. “FLORIDA GATORS FOOTBALL” appears at the top of the opposite shank, along with an enamel-filled Gators logo and the team’s overall 13-1 record. The inside of this band includes the Jostens manufacturer mark and “ELT” (Silver Elite), which is approximately 3k to 5k in weight as no 10k rings were maid or issued. Also inscribed inside this approximate size 12 ring is “It’s What We Do”. This item weighs approximately 53.2 grams. This ring comes with a Jostens ring box, a warranty card folder and the owner's original purchase LOA.
