Offered is a pair of Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez game-used, signed and inscribed black Verdero cleats. The Hall of Fame catcher has signed his name in silver marker across the front toe of each show, along with the inscription “Game Used 08” to the right of his signature.  Rodriguez spent the 2008 season with the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees where he batted .276. These black leather and mesh cleats have the Verdero brand logo on the outside of each shoe, with the full brand name and logo printed in silver on black plastic along the outside bottom of the sole.  There is the inscription “7” on the outside heel of both shoes in silver marker. 

Rodriguez was one of the best defensive catchers of all time, in a Major League Baseball career that began in the 1991 season with the Texas Rangers and ended in 2011 with the Washington Nationals.  The 13-time Gold Glove catcher won the World Series with the Florida Marlins in 2003 and played in the 2006 World Series while with the Tigers. He is the major league career leader in putouts by catchers. On June 17, 2009, Rodríguez set an MLB record by catching his 2,227th game, passing Carlton Fisk. During his career, he had the best caught stealing percentage of any major league catcher, at 45.68%.  He was the American League MVP in 1999 and the NLCS MVP in 2003. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017.  This item comes with a full LOA from Ivan Rodriguez.
