In 2009-10, the Philadelphia Flyers advanced to their first Stanley Cup Finals since 1996-97, defeating New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins, and Montreal Canadiens to set up a Finals matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. Although the Blackhawks won this series in six games, the Flyers surpassed expectations by advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. Their run to the Finals was marked by an incredible comeback against the Bruins in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, overcoming a 3-0 lead in both the series and the deciding Game 7 to upset the Bruins.
This 2009-10 Eastern Conference Champions banner measures 36 x 24 inches, and features the signatures of 18 members of the 2010-11 Flyers. Danny Briere has signed this banner twice, while other signatures include Claude Giroux, Michael Leighton, Brian Boucher, Matt Carle, Blair Betts, Dan Carcillo, Oskars Bartulis, and several more.
