For Hanley Ramirez, the 2009 season was the second of three straight All-Star appearances and the slugging righty also won his only batting title, besting the rest of the National League hitters with a .342 mark. Ramirez also homered 24 times, while driving in 106, the second-most RBI of his career. Ramirez used this offered Louisville Slugger S318 model bat during the 2009 season. This bat displays heavy use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the lower barrel and a coating of Mota Stick on the handle. The made-date number “8219” is stamped on the knob and Ramirez’s number “2” is hand written in faded silver marker on the knob. Ramirez singed his name in bold silver marker and inscribed “2010 Game Used”. Please note that the inscription was incorrectly penned by Ramirez as 2010. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15271) for the game use. Please note that the consignor did not want to purchase the grading on this bat. However, we can inform all potential bidders that this bat has been pre-certified as a GU 10 by PSA/DNA and if the winning bidder chooses to have this bat graded, it will be guaranteed to receive a GU 10 grade. There is also an COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C99682) for his signature.
