Matt Cain finished the 2009 season with a record of 14-8 and a 2.89 ERA and made the first of his three career All-Star teams that season. Cain used this Louisville Slugger S318 model bat during the 2009 season. This bat displays heavy game use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. There is a coating of Mota Stick on the handle and the date of manufacture “3/19/2009” and the bat’s length/weight “34/31oz” have been stamped on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B05370) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
