Former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is often mentioned in the same breath as Lawrence Taylor, Dick Butkus, Ray Nitschke and other great linebackers in NFL history. Lewis was the anchor of the great 2000 Ravens defense that won the franchise’s first Super Bowl and the often outspoken soon-to-be Hall of Famer closed out his career in style with a victory in Super Bowl XLVII.

     During the 2009 season, Lewis had his typical dominant season as he played in all 16 games and recorded 3 ½ sacks and 95 tackles in helping lead the Ravens to an 9-7 record, where they advanced to the AFC Divisional playoff game. Lewis was selected to his 11th Pro Bowl and was named First-Team All Pro for the seventh time.

     Offered is the purple jersey worn by Lewis during the 2009 season and has been photo matched to four of those games. Lewis wore this jersey during the September 20th game against the Chargers in the Ravens 31-26 victory in San Diego. The next game was the September 27th game against the Browns in Baltimore in the 34 – 3 victory. The October 11th game was a loss to Bengals 17-14 in Baltimore and the November 1st home game against the Broncos resulted in 30-7 victory for the Ravens. Lewis’ purple mesh Reebok NFL Equipment jersey features his number “52” sewn on the front, back and shoulders in white, gold and black tackle twill. “RAVENS” is embroidered in white at the base of the neck and each sleeve has a Ravens/Maryland shield patch and the NFL Equipment patch is sewn on the base of the V-neck. The back of the jersey has “R. LEWIS” sewn on in white on a matching purple name plate above the number. The inside back collar has the team strip tag that reads “08-46” and the jersey is lined with spandex shoulders, sleeves and sides, all in purple and this jersey displays solid use with some stains and abrasions present.
