Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun used this SAM KB1 model bat during the 2009 season where he led the National League in hits with 203, while hitting 32 home runs and driving in 114. This bat displays heavy use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, along with cleat imprints on the barrel. There is evidence of a weighted batting sleeve and a heavy coating of Mota Stick on the lower handle. There is a black mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009. Braun’s number “8” and the weight “31.0” have been hand written in black marker on the knob, while the length “35”, weight “31.5” and manufacture date “09 15 09” have been written black on the inside of the cupped barrel end. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B00443) for the game use. Please note that the consignor did not want to purchase the grading on this bat. However, we can inform all potential bidders that this bat has been pre-certified as a GU 10 by PSA/DNA and if the winning bidder chooses to have this bat graded, it will be guaranteed to receive a GU 10 grade.
