New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker wore this Patriots AFL throwback jersey against the Denver Broncos on October 11th, 2009 at Invesco Field at Mile High. Welker opened the scoring with an eight-yard touchdown reception for Tom Brady and finished the game with eight catches for 86 yards in Denver’s 20-17 overtime victory. Welker had a spectacular season in 2009, making his first Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams as Tom Brady’s favorite target. The former Texas Tech star led the NFL with 123 receptions and finished the year with 1,348 receiving yards and four scores.
