Boston Red Sox third baseman Adrian Beltre wore this red pullover batting practice jersey on September 4th, 2010 before a game against the Chicago White Sox at Fenway Park. Beltre went 1-4 in this game, a 3-1 Red Sox loss, with the Dominican All-Star picking up an eighth inning single off Chicago set-up man Chris Sale. Beltre, a member of the 3,000 Hit Club with 477 homers to his name, finished the 2010 season with a Triple Crown slash line of .321/28/102 with an MLB-best 49 doubles. Beltre, a surefire future Hall of Famer, made his first career All-Star team in 2010, his only season with the Boston Red Sox.
This offered batting practice jersey is a red one-button pullover, with “RED SOX” applied to the chest in white and navy lettering. Beltre’s number “29” is applied to the back of the jersey in white and navy felt. A MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. The sides of the jersey are constructed of navy and red mesh fabric. A Majestic tag is applied to the front left tail and “CoolBase” and size “XL” flags are attached to the left side of the jersey. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 798966), which authenticates the jersey as “team-issued” to the September 4th game, and a Steiner Sports game used hologram (160571).
