A-Rod had a great day at the plate during the July 6, 2010 game against the A’s in Oakland. Rodriguez went for two-for-three, both hits being home runs. This ball was the one he hit off Trevor Cahill in the 6th, a solo shot that cleared the center field wall for the 597th of his career. Later that summer A-Rod would become the youngest of the nine members of the 600 Career Home Run Club. The Official Major League Allan H. Selig baseball has been signed by A-Rod in blue pen and inscribed, “HR 597 7/6/10 596 Grand Slam 597 Solo Shot.” The ball shows good game use with the expected scuffs and abrasions and the signature and inscription are strong. This ball comes with a LOA from Alex Rodriguez for the game use and signature and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A19929) for the signature.
