Alex Rodriguez had a great day at the plate during the July 6, 2010 game against the A’s in Oakland. Rodriguez went for two-for-three, both hits being home runs. This Louisville Slugger C271L model bat was used to hit one of those home runs, a sixth-inning solo shot off of Trevor Cahill that cleared the center field wall for the 597th of his career. Later that summer A-Rod would become the youngest of the nine members of the 600 Career Home Run Club.

This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs and cleat marks present on the barrel. There is a coating of Mota Stick on the lower handle and the bat’s manufacture date “2/5/2010” and length/weight “34/32oz” is stamped on the knob. AROD has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “Career Homerun #597 7/6/10 vs Oakland”. This bat comes with a signed LOA from Alex Rodriguez, who attests that this bat was used by him to hit his 597th career home run and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A56141) for the signature.
