It’s June 22, 2010, Yankees vs. Diamond Backs at Chase Field. Derek Jeter led off the first inning with a line drive single to deep center field off starter Dan Haren. Swisher flied out as did Teixeira. With one on and 2 out, Alex Rodriguez launched a long home run to left field. It was his 9th of the season and 592nd of his career, and this is the bat he did it with. This Louisville Slugger model C271L is 34” long and weights 30.7oz. It’s un-cracked and bears several ball marks with white leather scuffs, stitch impressions and a weighted bat donut has left its impression on the bat. Cleat marks are present on the right and back barrel. Mota stick lightly coats the handle. The knob is inscribed with the date of manufacture (7/24/2009), length (34”) and weight (32oz). Best of all, A-Rod has signed the bat in silver ink and it is inscribed with “Game used career HR #592 6/22/2010 vs. Arizona”. The bat has been authenticated by MLB Authentication services and comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. Multiple images and LOAs available at goldinauctions.com. Note: in addition to being the 592nd HR of his career, it was also the 2700th hit of Arod's career.
