Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton, the most dangerous power hitter in the Major League today, wore this jersey on May 11th, 2010, during his spell with the AA Jacksonville Suns. Stanton, then known as “Mike Stanton”, played in 53 games with the Suns in 2010 before jumping straight to the Marlins, where he hit 22 home runs in only 100 games. With Jacksonville, Stanton tormented minor league pitching to the tune of 21 home runs and a .313 batting average. During the May 11th game, Stanton powered the Suns to a 10-1 victory over the Birmingham Barons. The California native went 3-4 with a double and two RBI while also scoring a run. It did not take Stanton long to reach the Majors after this breakout performance, as he made his debut with the Marlins less than a month later on June 8th.

This jersey is a throwback to the Suns 1968 home uniforms, and is a button down, blue pinstriped white jersey. It has “Suns” sewn across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. Stanton’s number “41” is sewn on the chest and the back in blue and orange tackle twill. A MiLB logo patch is present on the back outside collar of the jersey. A Suns logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a black Rawlings logo. A Rawlings size “50” tag is sewn on the back inside collar, and an additional Rawlings tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This item comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching with a corresponding LOA
