Famed slugger Giancarlo Stanton showed signs to come of his home run hitting prowess when he hit the 10th home run of his career during the Florida Marlins 7-2 loss against the Philadelphia Phillies on August 4, 2010 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The rookie Stanton went 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI against Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick. Stanton would go on hit 22 home runs with 59 RBI, establishing himself as a power hitter in the making.
Presented here is the very Florida Marlins home jersey worn by outfielder Giancarlo Stanton on August 4, 2010 when he hit the 10th home run of his career against the Phillies at Hard Rock Stadium. The six-button jersey is white with black pinstripes and features “MARLINS” across the chest in black-on-silver-on-aqua tackle twill with a paraph. The number “27” appears on the chest and back of the jersey in black-on-silver-on-aqua tackle twill. A Majestic “MLB Authentic Collection” manufacturing tag is screen-printed on the jersey’s left front tail. A white swatch located beneath the manufacturing tag is labeled “50 10 097” in black. An MLB logo in aqua, black, and white is embroidered on the back of the jersey below the collar. “STANTON” is displayed across the back of the jersey in black-on-silver-on-aqua tackle twill. Stanton signed the number “7” on the back of the jersey with a silver metallic paint pen. The signature is bold, and the jersey displays moderate signs of game use, with brown stains occurring on the back of the jersey to the right of the number “7” towards the seam. The game used and signed jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ098475) for the signature and an LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200629B2) who photo matched the jersey to the August 4, 2010 game.
